I suppose at some point the truth will out
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah true

But those who say God literally has to come down and introduce himself need to literally see a monkey fall out of a tree and change into a man.

I did and married it๐Ÿ‘
I would be amazed(revelations aside) if the evidence did not increasingly lead towards evolution as science is in the ascendancy at the moment and the churches(of whichever hue) don't have the same sway with as many people

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Tbh I think the church and religion generally hasn't helped itself.

I give you the Islamic example. Traditionally an imam gets loads of respect from the community to the point they have a godlike presence. They give rulings left, right and centre and people take it in good faith

However most of these guys are career imams. They learnt a bit of scripture can't recite verses from memory but are in essence thick as Shiite when it comes to truly understanding and explaining religion. This leads to 2 things in essence creationists and those who walk away completely

Zlatanariyan,

No it is called a dragon orchid I think. I think you're missing my point on this post. I didn't mean to use this example as evidence of evolution (although it is but don't need to get into that), but rather this symbiosis is an example to me of elegance in design that makes me think there must be a creator. This pair of species are so rare and inconsequential in any biological or environmental function yet they have survived for millennia for me to marvel at. If there's a god, he/she enjoyed creating this.

To be honest this is the kind of discussion worth having, but not online. Typing is a bitzch

Not much different from the Pharisees in the days Messiah walked the Earth. Very little has changed.

This is why I firmly believe that evolution is a great big lie. I'm not saying that small changes can't happen over long periods of time but to say that everything came from one organism or whatever that theory claims and turned into most of what we see now, I can't agree with it.

Look at all living things whether plant or creature and see how complex, unique, beautiful (or otherwise) they all are. I don't think it all came about by chance or some accident. Humans weren't responsible for this. A lot of thought, care and creativity must have gone into the existence of living things. Suggests a Creator to me.
