As a nation, we are terrified of anything progressive these days.

It's causing us to fall further and further back with our influence and eventually we'll get left behind. We used to be able to lead on things like this.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
With respect, the public are not the right or media and if asked, why woukd anyone work more than they have too

For 7 years i was doing 6 day weeks to make ends meet, but it wrecked me mentally and physically, so i am stepping back and trying to do less DWP and more gardening, painting to earn a crust....

We work too long and then pop our clogs after retirement, because we are shattered and rats on a wheel.

The public voted against it last election. Corbyn was ridiculed for suggesting it.

🚨🚨 | BREAKING: Belgium is considering moving to a 4 day working week, plans announced imminently

Interesting. When Corbyn suggested it, it was roundly ridiculed.

Now we have flexible working and it's looking like the future a few years later.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Covid changed all.....who attacked jezza on 4 day week?

I back it...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m fortunate I’m largely a 7 day fortnight
Loads of time off
----------------------------------------------------------------------
At your, i mean our age, we need to wind down.

Mates and family members are retiring in their 50'$ the jammy bassas.

If i can, 3 days in DWP and 2-3 days working outdoors or painting houses, will suit me Sir....3 days aff a week and i would be an alkie

Makes sense to me...i imagine business opposes this, via their papers?

Oddly I have it and work for the papers
Do as I say

For ridiculing him for suggesting it? I doubt it. He got a lot of 'he's living in a fantasy land' because of it.

Same with the policies over broadband which now people are working from home, probably doesn't seem like a bad policy to those who ridiculed.

I do not think public/voters oppose a 4 day week and on broadband, it was seen as a lesser priority back then, before covid changed our lives.

Rightly or wrongly, people did not trust jezza on brexit, economy, waspi women funding, his attitude to uk armed forces and Nato and Israel and NI and antisemitism etc.

That does not mean May or Bojo are good.

60k flu deaths forecast this winter in uk, ffs.

Get my flu jab next week, tank fook.

One scaremongering and panic at a time please, MSM.

Corbyn would never have allowed this global covid pandemic, flu threat, gas and electric price hike and constant rain.🤹‍♂️

pretty sure all of Labours 2019 policies had overwhelming public support unfortunately as pawl mentioned a certain section of the electorate can be easily manipulated and voted against their interests cause "sovereignty"

How dare the EU try to rule Poland
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yay for Polish authoritarianism, the further erosion of the independence of the Polish judiciary, and the wider autocratic deconstruction of their constitution!

You do know what’s actually happening in Poland, right?

They got duped and punked by sweet words and populist notions, exactly the same way you use candy to get kids to do what you want. That's hard to admit so they keep going to make it look like they know what they're doing.

“The fallback is the jacket potato”

ISS has told kitchen staff at 450 schools to stock-up on some foods to ensure children are properly fed through the winter.

Company says driver shortages, a lack of staff and import delays are causing supply problems.

Britain is apparently a developed country lads.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Its not developed enough.

Went to have a takeaway yesterday from my favourite local burger place, put two chicken burgers in the basket only to find out that NONE of the sides were available!!

Got to checkout and it wouldn't let me pay, turned laptop on to see the issue, and they had sold out of chicken burgers too

I had to get Jamaican pulled pork, with rice and beans instead. And it was delicious, but not what I had first wanted

Inhumane Britain!

For example, Boris Johnson could have sanctioned the Supreme court judges that ruled his prorogation of Parliament illegal.
Not that they would have because all the judge's would have been nominated placeholders of his anyway.

Sounds legit and definitely something Ttliv's worldview could get behind, one party authoritarianism is always a good idea, nothing could ever go wrong there.

M+S Dalston didn't have Pierogi yesterday, it did have a sign apologizing for not having its usual wide selection of products. Oh the horror!
I like tagliatelli but it wasn't what I wanted.

Food shortage Britain.
