There is a method that the police, scientists, researchers etc use to estimate crowd sizes at major events. It's used in monitoring hooliganism, protests but also in Psychology to research crowd behaviour.
They aren't just doing it be eye and guesstimating.

As I have said. Some people cant tell the difference beteween 150,000 people (at best) and 3,000,000 people (in yer dreams) from a drone video then you are an idiot. These are the same kind of nutjobs that claim the moon landings never happened because you cant pick out any of the Apollo LMs left on the surface of the moon by looking at the moon through a pair of strong binoculars on a clear night.

And Vance had to use an image of the Remain march when boasting about the numbers

It is easily achievable. Didn't the Pope get like 6 million at one of his rallies and the majority of those people didn't even have genuine concerns?

I've seen drone footage of a crowd leaving say Wembley after a match and using that as a comparative then 100-150k would be a decent comparative? of course its tough to make an accurate assessment and of course the fans leaving the ground are taking different routes and leaving a different times but just seeing it from above gave me that impression
That said it's a difficult count on any situation such as that

There is a method that the police, scientists, researchers etc use to estimate crowd sizes at major events. It's used in monitoring hooliganism, protests but also in Psychology to research crowd behaviour.
They aren't just doing it be eye and guesstimating.

Fair comparison given who both the Pope and TR are known to knock around with.

fair point, was just surprised when I read some of the numbers put out and couldn't fathom how they got that high?
