"Most religions teach other religions are inferior by some way. Only way for a religious person to be tolerable and impartial is by not being so religious. see where the problem lies"
-----
How is that any different to an atheist thinking they are superior because they have no faith?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
atheists dont think they are superior
------
That's rubbish mate, not all do obviously but plenty of atheists look down upon people who beleive in a God and they shove their beleifs in your face as much as any religious person does.

They sure act like it though. They all share the arrogance and ignorance trait.

Yes. It is far differentNot all religious people are extremists ffs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes they are not. They are not extremists because they choose not to believe the part that says other religions are inferior. One cannot be completely religious without being an extremist.
They sure act like it though. They all share the arrogance and ignorance trait.

Moth atheists I know aren't actually true atheists, they are agnostic when you actually drill in to what they believe.
Either way, in not sure this forum is the best place for a religious debate, save it for the pub

Utter nonsense.
"Dubbed, what has not having laws or the police got to do with anything?"
One guy said he was a "good person" because he chose to be.
Not because a religion told him to be. Which I don't get really. What's wrong with something motivating you to become better than you already are.
Either way, I said the law is holding him back. Just like it is most people.

One of the most xenophobic comments i've ever seen on here.
"Yeah, it is to protect the innocent. It isn't because everyone will go around raping and killing people. "
Protect the innocent from whom, genius?
As an atheist I believe I am superior to believers, because I believe I am right. But I don't look down on believers or discriminate against people for their beliefs so it doesn't really matter.
Our laws and morals are based upon our religious past. Obviously they have evolved for the modern day, but the foundations were based on religion.

Then the law and religion are holding everyone back, by that token.
Maybe it's true, maybe it isn't.
He's right in saying that he can choose to be a good person. But what someone defines as good is not universal and whether you're atheist, buddhist, christian or muslim.

HAs anyone seen Jesus Camp the documentary? It's a real eye opener on the dangers of the fundamentilisy Christians in America and how they are literally brainwashing kids, it's scary stuff when you consider the power these voters have.
God may or may not exist but the fact is that for now we don't have any evidence of God. What is written in religious books is nonsense because there is no evidence at all. If we don't have evidences for something why waste our time on it? If one day people discover the correct form of God and give solid evidences I will be a religious person.
You can be a bad person but still follow the rules, regulations and laws.
Being a good or bad person is largely a choice.
