As for climate change, go take it up with China man. They are the biggest contributors.

It'd true, whether you appreciate that or not is neither here nor there

Fossil fuels have given us every advancement we have made in the last 150 years - and nothing in the historical data says that extreme events area any worse today than back then

At this point Rosso it's better to just look at past extinction events and realise life bounces back eventually.

Honestly that's where I'm at. It's the only positive and has really helped me to accept that.

Humans are causing/have caused one of Earth's major extinction events. We're not going to stop it, absolutely zero chance when you look at what's going on in the world, where the power is etc.

Accept that the vast majority of species around now will die out, some including humans in a horrible way but eventually over millions of years life will bounce back.

Hopefully whatever life comes next won't be as incredibly smart yet incredibly stupid as humans are.

The first part is certainly true. The second part certainly isn't.

I mean, that was a very easy Google search. Try it yourself.

I’m pretty sure that’s not true.

rosso probably has the data, but as far as I’m aware the planet has not suffered in its history since it has since the industrial revolution.

oh look - a google search - fortunately the historical data tells the real story - no no increase in floods - droughts - hurricane strength or numbers - try it for yourself

The historical data tells all that?

This is why I love democracy. It should he the MAJORiTY who have the biggest say on issues such as climate change. The government should not be listening to the MINORITY who are scientists, doctors etc on these issues. Majority opinion is what counts for most and rightly so.

But there are people in the UN - who say democracy must be suspended - in order to deal with a 'crisis' based on a false premise

Yeah if scientists were so smart how come there are so few of them? The smartest species always rise to the top and multiply. Why should we listen to a minority? I've got a thermometer I know that it's colder this week then it was last week. I don't need a scientist with so called data to give me their made up interpretation in order for them to keep there job. It is time to fight back. I just emptied my neighbour's recycling bin into their general waste. As the majority we need to all do little things like this to fight back

I don't care weather or not they try to explain the reasons behind the short term fluctuations in temperature I have experienced in the past couple of weeks and try to convince me that the climate is warming despite this. I will not be listening to them. I've seen my thermometer

"The wisdom of the crowd" is a theory relating to the collective opinion of a group of individuals rather than that of a single expert. Which proves why experts should not be listened to and the majority should be heard. This theory was presented by Aristotle who is an expert in this field so knows what he's talking about. If I were you, I'd listen to him.
