Of course he's part of the problem, but we should still be doing far better than we are without his input.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not only referring to money input. It's more the lack of leadership. We should have never been in a situation where Wenger had full power. We shouldn't be in a situation where Raul has now again full power and is not accountable
I know Anfield was still pretty much full week after week during the Hicks & Gillett era, but that lot are kinda thick enough to have kept going thinking their loyalty would force a change at the top.
With Lerner at Villa I recall them playing their home games literally to a half empty ground.
If this window ends in the disaster it’s currently suggesting it might, I just hope there are more people outside the ground protesting than inside the ground booing.

Other clubs give all power to one person or a group of person ffs. That isnt the problem. No ambition and taking Arsenal as a money machine is.
It will haunt him hopefully. Kroenke go to hell.
But Lex, do you really think half empty ground will make a tangible difference? We've tried that before and it's not really done anything. The only way I see that happening is if we do fall into 8th - 10th territory. Then I can see more empty seats on match days.
However, even that may not happen, as one of the 'drawbacks' of having a large fanbase is you will always get people on the waiting list/wanting to go to games.
Like I've said before, the only way I see us getting out of this mess is by getting lucky with our youth academy being way better than we think or having a manager that can over perform with the resources at his disposal.
There is literally nothing else we can hope to happen, as I can't see Kroenke will leaving us anytime soon.
Actually feel bad for the likes of ESR, Saka and Willock. They’re young guys. They shouldn’t be preparing for potential breakthrough seasons knowing - as they surely must be were - the weight of expectation on them.
Add to that the poisonous atmosphere they’re potentially going to be playing in, every mistake they make is going to weigh heavy on them.
Samir, you just have to go on any other board on this forum to see rival fans talking excitedly about which is f their youth players might make the step up next season.
Why will ours be any better than theirs?
It could happen of course. It’s just not something to put forward as a plan of action though, so if that’s what Raul is hoping for... well then we really could be screwed.
Lex, you're right, why should we expect that? But I'm saying that we can only hope we get lucky in that we have some diamonds in the rough.
What other choice do we have when established first-teamers are so unreliable and when we aren't spending any money?
We've got little other choice.

Have to wonder why he would post that now?
To wind people up, or to try to get them back onside by reminding them that he has been part of a successful team not that long ago?
Either way his contract at Arsenal runs to 2021.
Only two more seasons to put up with him...
With Koscielny on his way, I dontthi k we have enough time to sell Mustafi as we will need at least 3 new centre backs

That's exactly what I was talking about when I said it comes from the top. If the owner shows zero enthusiasm, how can you expect the teams of people below him to do the same?

The guy apparently is not even able to pass his medical yet because of his injury. Could be a bloody risky deal
If £25m isn't enough to get Tierney, I hope we leave it and try to find someone else.
If Celtic reject £25m for a left-back, they are insane IMO. That sort of money is ludicrous for a player from the Scottish league and they would be able to reinvest what is a substantial amount of money for them.

A lot of money that for a left back from the Scottish league.

Arsenal’s latest bid was submitted to Celtic on Friday and Kieran Tierney is keen for the move to happen. It is complicated by the breakdown and nature of the instalments Arsenal are proposing - but there remains optimism that the transfer will be completed #AFC #CelticFC

Of course there's complications There always is whenever we're involved with transfers.
CSKA Moscow have enquired about Taiwo Awoniyi. Liverpool would want £15m.

Seriously, if Pool gets that amount for a completely no body, then they should be investigated.
