As for Auba ‘being treated badly’ splitting the dressing room, I suspect the core group thinks he’s been a bit of a douche about all this. Remember, he’s let them down as much, if not more, than anyone else.

I don't mind that for the short term.

In Germany the whole captaincy saga doesnt play a high role among the fan group neither in the media.

I guess it is a kind of English history only.

So kick it down the line and he might not even be manager in the summer.

I think the fact that we have 5 good young candidates for captain bodes well for us in the future. It's a shame Auba couldn't be professional for long enough for us to hand it down naturally and turn it into a bigger deal than it needs to be, but I'm sure we'll be fine.

The youngsters have already been taking on more responsibility in game than the senior players and I'd guess seeing Auba getting stripped after constantly letting them down will be received well by them.

I don't mind Ode as captain, so long as it doesn't mean he's first name on the teamsheet as he's still a bit hot and cold

I haven't got a problem with any other player.
