Everyone has a responsibility to look at what they are doing, without worrying about what anyone else is or isn’t doing.

Its people like you who are gonna doom this planet with your stupid whataboutery. Well done 🙄
How dire do the warnings have to get…

We live in a post, 'Don't Look Up' World.
How dire do you want it to get?
Stop buying cheep craaap from India and China- 2 of the biggest carbon polluters going
We are definitely going to ruin the planet sooner or later. Lessons are either being ignored totally or not learned quick enough.
The deforestation of the Amazon rain forest is hugely concerning. We get like 9% of all our oxygen from there alone.
Coal mines popping up everywhere in Poland. So much pollution that's causing. And let's not even start on China. That country simply don't care on anything green related.
Sadly the same idiots who were Covid deniers and great reset conspiracy nuts now have global warming in their cross hairs and see that as the next thing to call fake. It’s almost like someone is funding the resistance to renewable energy 🤔🤔🤔

Not strictly true. They lead the world in quite a few environmentally friendly things. They have a long way to go in some things but in others they’re doing very well.

Enough that I can sleep at night, but I didn’t post this article to create opportunities for people to brag, or to try to tear each other down. It isn’t a competition.
And isn’t that part of the problem? That we spend more time talking about others’ inaction in order to make ourselves feel better about our own, rather than reflecting on the consequences of our own behaviours?
Acting like climate change is the result of the actions of regular people rather than governments and corporations >>>>

Why comment on it if you’re gonna play the role of spoilsport? Are you a climate change denier? Or someone who does care but feels so guilty about a lack of action on your own part you try to tear down someone else’s thing to make yourself feel better?

If saving the planet is going to impact people’s daily lives and cost them in the short term, it ain’t gonna happen

It is literally the result of the actions of regular people who freely consume what they want from corporations offering all kinds of alternatives - sustainable and otherwise.
The same people who - in the developed world, at least - have democratically elected governments which have refused to legislate to contain the spectacular excesses of late-stage free market capitalism and curb emissions.

The cost of living for many people at the moment isn’t helping people to be environmentally friendly either unfortunately. Lots of families will buy cheap items out of necessity, and those items invariably have a detrimental effect on the environment.
